SnipVid Privacy Policy

SnipVid ("we", "our", "the app") helps you summarize videos. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

What we collect

• Video URLs you paste into the app.
• Video or audio files you choose to upload from your device.
• Your chosen target language for translation.

We do not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, advertising identifier, or precise location.

How we use data

• URLs and files are sent over HTTPS to our processing server to download (when applicable), transcribe, and summarize the content.
• Downloaded media on the server is deleted within minutes after processing completes.
• Generated summaries, frames, and metadata are returned to your device.
• Saved summaries are stored only on your device (local history). We do not keep a copy on our servers.

Third-party services

We use OpenAI APIs for transcription, translation, and summarization. Text and audio snippets are sent to OpenAI according to their API terms. OpenAI does not use API customer data to train models by default.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.
• We do not run third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
• We do not retain source video files after processing.

Children

SnipVid is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do.
